 Personality

One thing is certain about Pigs (Boars) -- they are always in the pink. Generous and honourable, they are nice to a fault and possessed of impeccable manners and taste. They are well liked for their honesty and affectionate nature, and when others disappear they are often there to offer support. They are initially reserved with strangers, but as time passes and they gain confidence they will discover a lively and warm-hearted disposition. Although Boar's circle of friends and acquaintances is wide, it is only their close friends who share their inner thoughts and feelings. There is an innocence and naivety to their character, which is combined with an eagerness for new places and experiences. Sometimes this excitability can land they in hot water when they unwittingly say or do something inappropriate, but more often than not they are forgiven since they rarely go out of their way to hurt somebody else. They are not a vengeful person, and if someone has taken advantage of they, they tend to withdraw to reflect on the problem and protect themselves. Given time to consider the events, they usually find a constructive way to respond.

There is a tolerant and peaceful side to their character, and they allow others their freedom of expression; they do not want to cause an argument any more than be the subject of one. They are not weak, however, and if they have to fight they will rise to the occasion, whether it is to defend themselves or someone else. People think they are a dreamer, and at times they are, but they are also sharp enough to realize what is going on. their reputation is important to they, and although they are happy to be the target of gentle jokes, they are easily hut when someone unjustly accuses they or is openly vindictive.

Some of them have so much of the perfectionist in them that others may be inclined to perceive them as snobs, which is not the case, Pigs believe in the best of mankind and certainly don't consider themselves superior. They also care a great deal about friends and family and work hard to keep everyone in their life happy. Helping others is a true pleasure for the Pig, a happy sort that feels best when everyone else is smiling.

A truly sad sight is a Pig with no one around to appreciate their giving nature. Pigs are so magnanimous they can appear almost saintly. This can lead some less than well intentioned people to stomp all over the Pig. The Pig refuses to see others as less than good, an endearing quality which makes them great companions. The happy Pig might actually scowl if someone tries to tell them that their approach is too wet. Suffice it to say Pigs aren't keen on unsolicited advice, preferring to fight their own battles when need be. If they can stay out of their way, Pigs can be the most loyal and devoted friends on Earth.

Beyond their sparkling reputations, Pigs are highly intelligent creatures. They are forever studying, playing and probing in their quest for greater knowledge. They travel optimistically, hoping to find the best in people - and they sense it. They often find a warm welcome because they are willing to adjust and adapt, and they rarely criticize unless they really feel it is justified. They also adore food and drink, easily making them the gluttons of the Chinese Zodiac. Nothing but champagne and caviar for the discerning Pig! These Pigs also make wonderful life partners, since they truly do have a heart of gold. Even so, they can be exceedingly exclusive, spending time with those who will appreciate them most while ignoring the rest of the populace.

Pigs need to realize that there's more to life than being needed. When they open up their world to a diverse group of people, they will truly bloom.

The most compatible match for a pig is the rabbit or goat.

 Career

Boar signs are not an ambitious person and are quite happy keeping equilibrium between work and their personal life. Power is not really on their agenda, and it is rare for the Boars to backstab or betray a colleague. They are naturally hard working and approach tasks seriously and efficiently. In fact, they work well on co-operative projects since they give they a forum to share their ideas.

The Boars like to assess how much work is in front of they and then take it step by step, progressing slowly but surely. Risks make they nervous and they tend to err on the safe side, but if they do gamble do not expect to reap huge profits. They are a keen learner, and most pig people are also avid readers, which makes them suited to reflective, studious jobs. But there is also a side to their character that needs human contact, and their patience and kindness are qualities ideal for caring careers.

Boar signs are suited to a career in medicine, law or music. They would also make a good writer, researcher, scientist, gardener/landscape artist, librarian or social worker.

 Relationship

Boar signs  need to experiment and discover romance before they can be sure that they have found the right partner. They put their trust in relationships, and some partners take advantage of their apparent naivety.

But Boar signs are also a good learner and pick themselves up and start again - it is rare for they ever to feel defeated by a relationship. Their partner may not realize it, but they are a good observer, making a mental note of what is said or done; though they might appear to be in a dream, they have simply chosen not to comment. The Boars are tolerant, and will allow their partner the freedom that they also need, but this has to rest on an affectionate and trustworthy footing. Boar's lively imagination and enthusiasm soon draws admirers who share their sense of fun, as well as recognize their more sensitive and serious nature. Once a relationship is established, they trust that the love and affection they give will be returned - and it usually is. However, Boar's partner should also be careful not to continually demand their emotional attention in case they feel trapped.
